Brook L. McKay, M.A.
Brook McKay is the Psychology Associate for autism evaluation at our Novi center. Brook has been working at our University Pediatricians Autism Center since Winter of 2017. Brooke has a bachelor’s of music in music therapy, graduate diploma in psychology and a master’s of arts in counseling psychology. Prior to working UPAC, she worked as a music therapist providing in-home and in-school sessions for individuals and groups diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs for nearly 10 years. Her favorite thing about working with children diagnosed with autism is the unique spirit each child brings in sharing his or her own way of communicating that may not be “society’s” norm, but it is the child’s norm; it is beautiful to see and experience in the moment. Brooke’s research interests include identifying strengths and protective factors among special needs children and their parents. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, singing, traveling, and adrenaline-filled activities.
