Rachel Barnhart, M.S., LLP, BCBA
Rachel Barnhart, formerly Rachel O’Doherty is the Supervising Behavioral Consultant at the Detroit Center. Rachel joined the University Pediatricians Autism Center in 2009. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the Western Michigan University and her M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Northeastern University. Rachel has been working with children and families affected by autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities since 2000. Rachel’s areas of concentration in the field of applied behavior analysis include functional behavior assessment, treatment planning, program development, staff and parent training, and performance monitoring. Rachel has helped to develop and provide services for families with private insurance and Medicaid. She has supervised in school, residential and clinic based settings. Rachel advocates for the multidisciplinary approach to treatment. Rachel also teaches the BCBA and BCaBA programs at Wayne State University. Her favorite subject to teach is the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training class. In her free time, Rachel enjoys baking and decorating cakes.
